A lot has changed since the pandemic started, our lives became boring, unpredicted and scary. As humans it is natural for us to feel worried and anxious all the time especially when our health is on the line. It's been a year since this unfortunate turn of event happened, no one really predicted that it would last this long, I mean who would have thought that a year later we can't still go out without the fear of getting sick, right? And oh, face masks and shields.
I personally can say that this pandemic changed me and the way I see things. My life literally turned 360: from working with kids everyday, going on an adventure every weekend to literally now staying at home most of the time, from partying and staying out late every chance I get to spending my nights sleeping early because this quarantine life is exhausting. Lol.
I am looking back at my life before all of this happened, my friends and I used to hang out all the time, laughing and just being our weird in our own little way, but now, a year later, we all have different priorities. I can proudly say that we have matured in a way and that's something to celebrate and be thankful for.
We used to not fear going out and travelling to different places, we used to dress up and make-up every time we go some place new, we used to stay at airbnbs and discover new things, we used to just drive around without getting anxious that we need to go home early because of travel restrictions. We used to be FREE.
We may not get back the life we all had before but a year has passed and we are still here surviving, we don't know when will this pandemic stop or will it ever stop but one thing is for sure, this has changed us in a way that we never thought possible. We can all say that this sucks, because it truly is but we can never deny the fact that one way or another this also taught us something that we could all bring as we move forward to the next chapters of our lives.
This may not be the life that we've prayed for or the freedom that we are longing for but we have to see the silver lining in everything that's been happening. We need to focus on the fact that there's still tomorrow and there's still a chance to improve things. Also, we need to acknowledge the fact that we are not the only one suffering from this but the whole world.
Lastly, we have to be grateful and thank the Lord God for keeping us and our families safe during this crisis, the fact that none of our family members are getting the virus is the biggest blessing we could be thankful for. As long as everyone is healthy we are already blessed.
